Who this is for
Curiosity Kids is designed for children under 13 with verified parental consent. Parents create the account, manage profiles, and approve what the child can do.
What we collect
From parents: email, account credentials, and the parental consent record. From kid profiles: a display name (no last name required), age range, and a history of questions asked and stories generated so we can personalize the experience. We do not request precise location, contacts, or photos.
Cookies and local storage
We use a small number of first-party cookies and browser local storage for:
- Essential session — keeping a parent signed in (Supabase auth) and protecting parent-only routes.
- Consent record — the
ck_coppa_ackcookie remembers that a parent has read and acknowledged this notice, so the banner does not reappear on every visit. - Preferences — local storage holds non-identifying UI preferences (e.g. selected kid profile).
We do not use advertising cookies, analytics tracking pixels, or third-party ad networks.
Parental controls
Parents can review their child’s activity, delete profiles, and revoke consent at any time from the parent dashboard. Deleting a profile removes its question history and generated stories.
